This recipe I begged from a friend of my mother's. She had grown up in China Town in NYC and this was wonderful. So much better than take-out. Ingredients:
1 pork tenderloin, trimmed of any fat |
1/4 cup soy sauce |
3 tablespoons hoisin sauce |
1/4 cup white wine |
1/2 teaspoon garlic, minced |
red food coloring (optional) |
1/3 cup honey |
Directions:
1. Whisk together soy sauce, Hoisin, wine and garlic. 2. Add a few drops of red food coloring if desired. (I leave this out) 3. Pour into zip-lock bag. Add pork tenderloin and seal. 4. Chill 2 to 8 hours. 5. Remove from marinade. 6. Bake at 400 degrees for one hour, basting with sauce every 15 minutes. 7. Last 5 or 6 minutes of cooking time, pour honey over and bake until honey is glazed. |
