This recipe serves 10 Ingredients:
2 onions, chopped |
1 green pepper, chopped |
2 tablespoons vegetable oil |
2 lbs lean ground beef |
2 -3 tablespoons chili powder |
1 (16 ounce) can whole tomatoes, undrained |
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1/2 cup ketchup |
1 teaspoon salt |

2 (15 ounce) cans red kidney beans, drained |
Directions:
1. In a large saucepan, cook and stir onions and peppers in oil until tender yet crisp. 2. Add beef. 3. Cook until well browned, stirring occasionally. 4. Drain excess fat. 5. Stir in chili powder, add tomatoes, tomato sauce, ketchup, salt and black pepper 6. Simmer uncovered 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. 7. Add kidney beans and simmer uncovered an additional 15 minutes. |
