Chilly Cherry Pomegranate Pie |

What a delicious Dessert!! I love anything with the pomegarnate flavor, and this has just a bit of it - so very tasty!! Ingredients:
1 1/4 cups oreo cookie crumbs |
1/4 cup butter, melted |
1/2 cup boiling water |
1 (85 g) package jello cherry jelly powder |
1 cup pomegranate juice |
1 1/2 cups cool whip topping, thawed, divided |
4 oreo cookies, cut in half |
Directions:
1. Mix baking crumbs and butter in a 9-inch pie plate; press onto bottom and up sides of pie plate. 2. Add boiling water to jelly powder, stir 2 minutes until completely dissolved. Stir in pomegranate juice. Refrigerate 30 minutes, or until slightly thickened. 3. Whisk in 1 cup Cool Whip until well blended. Pour into crust (filling will come near top of crust). Carefully place in freezer. 4. Freeze 4 hours or until firm. Top with remaining Cool Whip and place cookies in the center just before serving. 5. SUBSTITUTE: Prepare, using any other flavor of jello powder, such as strawberry or raspberry. |
