Hot snack, usually had in the evening, in winter or rainy season. Ingredients:
4-6 nos. wax chilli peppers |
2 cups. besan flour( chickpea flour) |
1/4 cup. rice flour(optional) |
1 tsp. red chilli powder |
1 pinch. baking powder |
1-2 pinch. baking soda |
2 pinch. ajwain seeds |
11/2 cup water |
salt to taste |
oil for deep frying |
Directions:
1. Mix besan, rice flour, chilli powder, baking powder, baking soda,salt, ajwain seeds. 2. Heat 2 tsp oil and pour on this mixture. Mix well. 3. Now add water and mix well to form a batter. It should be of medium consistency, it should stick to the peppers when it is dipped. 4. Cut the wax peppers into half vertically. 5. Dip one by one in the batter( batter should cover the whole pepper) and deep fry in oil till golden. 6. Serve hot. |
