This is the best fruit salad dressing... I think you will be surprised..... Another Light and Tasty recipe Ingredients:
1 cup dry red wine or 1/2 cup grape juice plus 1 tablespoon red wine vinegar |
1/2 cup sugar (if using grape juice reduce sugar to 1/3 cup) |
2 tablespoons red wine vinegar |
1 cinnamon stick (3 inches) |
8 whole cloves |
Directions:
1. In a saucepan, combine the wine or grape juice plus the vinegar, red wine vinegar, cinnamon stick and cloves. 2. Bring to a boil. 3. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, for 10 minutes. 4. Strain liquid; discard cinnamon stick and cloves. 5. Cover and refrigerate until serving. 6. Serve this over assorted fruits like melon balls, fresh strawberries, blueberries, most any type of fruit.... |
