Niiice. Ingredients:
1/2 lb ground beef |
1/4 cup chopped onion |
1 (4 ounce) can green chilies |
2 ounces sharp american cheese, shredded (1/2 cup) |
3/4 cup cold milk |
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour |
1/4 teaspoon salt |
1 dash pepper |
2 beaten eggs |
1 dash hot sauce |
Directions:
1. In skillet, brown beef and onion; drain off excess fat. 2. Sprinkle meat with 1/4 teaspoon salt and dash pepper. 3. Split chilies lengthwise and remove seeds; spread open. 4. Lay half of chilies on bottom of a shallow 1-quart baking dish. 5. Sprinkle with cheese; top with meat mixture. 6. Arrange remaining chilies over meat. 7. Gradually add milk to flour, stirring till smooth. 8. Add salt, pepper, eggs, and hot sauce; beat till smooth. 9. Pour over casserole. 10. Bake in moderate overn (350 degrees) 45 to 50 minutes or till knife inserted just off center comes out clean. 11. Pour off excess fat. 12. Cool 5 minutes. |
