CHILI SAUCE TOPPED ASIAGO EGGS This recipe came from an estate sale. I obtained it when I purchased the family collection from the Markie Estate in Sachse, Texas in 1982. Ingredients:
8 large eggs |
2 tablespoons butter |
6 tablespoons milk |
3/4 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
2/3 cup shredded asiago cheese |
4 ounces green chilies chopped |
chili sauce for topping |
Directions:
1. Put butter in square baking pan then set in 350 degree oven to melt. 2. Shake pan to distribute butter evenly then slightly beat eggs, milk, salt and pepper. 3. Pour into pan then bake at 350 for 10 minutes. 4. Sprinkle with cheese and chilies. 5. Draw a wide metal spatula across bottom of pan several times to break up mixture. 6. Bake breaking up mixture again several times for 5 more minutes or until of desired doneness. 7. Serve topped with chili sauce. |
