In the small city where my grandma was from, more than half the ladies that lived there used this recipe. It is a fabulous recipe! Cook time is an estimate. Ingredients:
25 large tomatoes |
4 large onions |
2 green peppers |
2 red peppers |
2 1/2 cups vinegar |
1 1/2 cups sugar |
2 tablespoons salt |
1 teaspoon clove |
1 teaspoon allspice |
1 teaspoon cinnamon |
2 bay leaves (optional) |
Directions:
1. Chop everything and cook slowly over a low flame or on low. 2. Simmer until thick, and then seal in jars. |
