In the small city where my grandma was from, more than half the ladies that lived there used this recipe. It is a fabulous recipe! Cook time is an estimate.
Ingredients:
25 large tomatoes
4 large onions
2 green peppers
2 red peppers
2 1/2 cups vinegar
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons salt
1 teaspoon clove
1 teaspoon allspice
1 teaspoon cinnamon
2 bay leaves (optional)
Directions:
1. Chop everything and cook slowly over a low flame or on low.
2. Simmer until thick, and then seal in jars.
