A recipe from the farm in Ford River. They would take this and sell at a Farmer's Market, along with maple syrup, flowers, and all the best produce grown. It is a 1940's recipe. Ingredients:
12 large tomatoes, peeled |
6 large sweet onions |
2 green peppers |
2 red bell peppers |
1 1/2 cups apple cider vinegar |
1 tablspoon black pepper (carefully) |
3 tablespoons kosher salt |
Directions:
1. Grind the tomatoes, peppers, and onion in a meat grinder. 2. Put all the ingredients in a large canning pot. 3. Bring to a boil and boil 20 minutes. 4. Put in 8-1/2 pint jars and seal. |
