Very quick and easy! Ingredients:
1 pound ground beef |
1/2 cup chopped celery |
1/4 cup chopped onion |
1/4 cup chopped green pepper |
1 clove garlic, minced |
2 teaspoons salt |
3 cups water |
1 can (16 oz) tomatoes, cut up |
1 cup uncooked long grain rice |
1 can (6 oz) tomato paste |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
1 bay leaf |
Directions:
1. Brown beef in large saucepan; drain off excess fat. Add celery, onion, green pepper, garlic and salt; cook till vegetables are crisp-tender. 2. Stir in remaining ingredients; cover and simmer 25 minutes or until rice is done, stirring occasionally. Remove bay leaf. |
