This uses paprika as a base (no weird ingredients). I mixed a half batch of this up to use in Tex-Mex Lasagna and it tasted great. From AHA's Low-Salt Cookbook. Ingredients:
3 tablespoons paprika |
2 teaspoons finely crushed oregano |
1 teaspoon ground cumin |
1 teaspoon ground turmeric |
1 teaspoon garlic powder |
1/4 teaspoon cayenne powder |
Directions:
1. In a medium bowl, toss all ingredients gently with spoon until well blended. 2. Store in an airtight container in cool, dark, dry place for up to 6 months. 3. Use in place of packaged chili powder. |
