1/2 cup onion, chopped |
1 lb lean ground beef |
1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil |
8 ounces elbow macaroni |
1 (16 ounce) can kidney beans, undrained |
1 (16 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 cup water |
1 teaspoon chili powder |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded |
Directions:
1. Brown beef and onion in large skillet, then drain. 2. Add macaroni, kidney beans, tomato sauce, water, chili powder, and salt. 3. Cover and simmer for 15 minutes. 4. Add cheddar cheese. 5. Cover and continue to simmer until cheese is melted. |
