A quick throw-together meal that comes from your pantry and your refrigerator! Ingredients:
2 (15 ounce) cans hormel chili (with or without beans) |
1/2 lb lean ground beef |
1 (8 ounce) container sour cream |
catsup, if desired |
1 cup cheddar cheese, shredded, plus additional |
hot freshly-cooked spaghetti |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Grease a 9' x 9 baking dish. 2. Brown the beef in a large skillet, breaking it up as it cooks. One cookbook author refers to this as scramble-fry. . 3. Combine the drained beef with the chili, sour cream and cheese. Transfer to prepared baking dish. 4. Top dish with more shredded cheese. Drizzle with catsup, if desired. 5. Bake in preheated oven until bubbly, about 20 minutes. 6. Serve atop hot cooked spaghetti. |
