For Sea Cadets Ingredients:
10 onions, chopped |
20 garlic cloves, chopped |
10 lbs lean ground beef |
114 ounces ketchup |
3 -28 ounces crushed tomatoes |
10 teaspoons chili powder |
20 tablespoons yellow mustard |
salt & pepper |
120 hot dogs |
120 buns |
10 onions, chopped |
10 tomatoes, chopped |
10 lbs cheddar cheese, shredded |
Directions:
1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. 2. When hot, add the onion and garlic and cook, stirring, until it is soft and translucent, about 5 minutes. 3. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with the back of a spoon, and cook until nicely browned, about 10 more minutes. 4. Stir in the ketchup, chili powder, and mustard and simmer for 15 minutes until thickened. 5. Season with salt and pepper. 6. Boil, fry or grill the dogs. 7. Serve with the chopped onions, chopped tomatoes and the shredded cheese. |
