basic chili recipe (1 serving equals about 2 cups) Ingredients:
2 lb ground beef |
2 onions |
1 green pepper |
4 tbsp chili powder |
2 tsp garlic |
2 tsp cumin |
2 tsp red pepper flakes, crushed |
2 1/2 cups tin kidney beans, rinsed (1 19 oz. tin) |
7 cups canned tomatoes (2 28 oz. tins) |
Directions:
1. brown ground beef and remove the fat 2. add onions and peppers and stir until softened a bit 3. Add spices and tomatoes including juice 4. rinse beans and add to the pot 5. cook over low heat for about an hour to combine flavours |
