This recipe comes from a little book called ABC Jiffy Cookery. I've had it for over 50 years. I haven't tried any of the recipes yet. I'm putting them here so I can find them easier. Ingredients:
1 onion, diced |
1 garlic clove, minced |
1 green pepper, diced |
2 tablespoons butter |
1 lb ground beef |
2 cups tomatoes |
2 cups canned kidney beans |
1 tablespoon chili powder |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
Directions:
1. Saute` onion, garlic and green pepper in butter until tender. Add meat and brown slightly. Add tomatoes, beans, seasonings. Simmer 20 minutes. |
