This is a crisp seasoned snack that offers an alternative to chips or nuts. The seasoning can be adjusted to personal taste. Ingredients:
2 cups uncooked bow tie pasta (farfalle) |
vegetable oil |
2 tablespoons freshly grated parmesan cheese |
1/2 teaspoon chili powder |
1/4 teaspoon seasoning salt |
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder |
Directions:
1. Cook bows as directed on package just until tender; drain. 2. Rinse under running cold water; drain thoroughly. 3. Heat oil (1 inch) to 375F. 4. Fry bows, about 1 cup at a time, until crisp and golden brown, about 2 minutes; drain. 5. Mix remaining ingredients; toss with bows until evenly coated. |
