Easy main dish from the back of a Stove Top cornbread stuffing box. Ingredients:
1 1/2 cups hot water |
6 ounce package stove top cornbread stuffing mix |
1 1/2 pounds lean ground beef |
15 ounce can kidney beans (do not drain) |
8 ounce can tomato sauce |
1 cup salsa |
1 cup shredded cheddar cheese |
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees. 2. Stir together stuffing mix and water and set aside. 3. Brown the ground beef in a large skillet, then drain it. 4. Add beans, tomato sauce and salsa to drained beef in skillet and stir together. 5. Transfer mixture to a 2 quart (or larger) baking dish. 6. Top with cheese and stuffing. 7. Bake 30 minutes. 8. Serve hot. |
