a family favorite Ingredients:
2 lbs ground beef |
2 packages of your favorite chili mix |
1 large can crushed tomatoes |
1 small can tomato paste |
1 large onion chopped |
1 large green bell pepper chopped |
1 carton of chicken stock |
3 cans of your favorite beans, drained and rinsed |
Directions:
1. In a large pot or dutch oven had ground beef, as it is browning chopped onion and bell pepper and add to beef, stir to brown beef and cook onion and bell pepper, add chili mix seasoning and mix well. Add crushed tomatoes, tomato paste and mix well. Add chicken stock and beans. Stir well and bring to a slow boil, turn down heat to medium low uncovered and let simmer for apx 2 hours. I use 3 different kinds of beans and example is black beans, kidney beans and a white beans. We eat corn bread with this recipe. |
