A cold weather classic! Ingredients:
1 chili brick |
3 lbs 90% lean ground beef |
1 (27 ounce) can chili beans |
2 cups water |
1 onion |
3 green chilies |
2 garlic cloves |
2 teaspoons salt |
2 teaspoons pepper |
2 tablespoons crushed red pepper flakes |
2 tablespoons cayenne pepper |
2 tablespoons chili powder |
Directions:
1. .Brown ground beef with chiles, garlic, onion and seasonings. In a separate pot, create your base by bringing XLNT and 1/2 cup water to a slow boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 3-5 minutes. Drain ground beef. Add the chili base to the ground beef along with beans the remaining water. Add more water if needed to reach desired consitency. Add crushed red pepper, cayenne pepper and chili powder. Simmer on low for 20 minutes. Serve over rice. |
