A quick and easy, hearty chili for cold days and sporting events. Add your favorite toppings and enjoy. Ingredients:
3 pounds ground beef |
2 yellow onions, diced |
6 jalapeno peppers, diced |
2 habanero peppers, diced (wear gloves) (optional) |
1 teaspoon minced garlic |
3 (15 ounce) cans chili beans |
3 (15 ounce) cans diced tomatoes |
1 (15 ounce) can water |
3 tablespoons hot chili powder |
1 tablespoon ground cumin |
Directions:
1. Heat a large soup pot over medium-high heat. Cook and stir beef in the pot until browned and crumbly, 5 to 7 minutes; drain and discard grease. 2. Cook and stir onions, jalapeno peppers, habanero peppers, and garlic with the ground beef until onions are slightly softened, about 5 minutes. Add chili beans, tomatoes, water, chili powder, and cumin; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer until flavors blend, about 1 hour. |
