Cold eather calls for something a little more spicey Ingredients:
1 chopped medium onion |
1 chopped red pepper |
2 chopped green peppers |
2 minced cloves of garlic |
2 pounds of ground chuck |
2 cans crushed tomatoes with puree |
4 t chili powder |
2 t cumin |
2 tsp of cinnamon |
1 small can of chopped mild green chile peppers |
2 cans of red kidney beans |
Directions:
1. Saute the garlic, onion, and peppers in enough oil that covers the bottom of a large dutch oven pot. 2. Add the ground chuck and cook until no longer red. 3. Spoon out excess grease. 4. Add the crushed tomatoes to the pot, along with an equivalent amount of water measured from ONE empty tomatoe can. 5. Add the rest of your ingredients, bring the mixture to a boil, then simmer for 1 hour. 6. Adjust seasonings to your liking. |
