I created this recipe from several recipes. My friends and family love it.
Ingredients:
3 tablespoons butter
1 onion, chopped
5 stalks celery, chopped
1 lb ground beef
1 lb ground pork
2 (16 ounce) cans tomato sauce
2 (16 ounce) cans pinto beans, drained
1 (1 1/4 ounce) package mcmormick mild chili seasoning mix
2 tablespoons molasses
Directions:
1. Melt butter in pan; saute onion and celery; cook 2 minutes.
2. Add ground beef and ground pork; brown.
3. In a crock pot or Dutch oven place browned meat, tomato sauce, drained pinto beans, seasoning mix, and molasses.
4. Simmer for 1 hour and serve.
