Basic chili base. Ingredients:
1 lb lean ground turkey |
1 (15 ounce) can diced tomatoes |
1 onion |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
6 ounces tomato paste |
1 (20 ounce) can kidney beans |
2 tablespoons honey |
2 tablespoons balsamic vinegar |
spices |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Brown ground turkey in skillet. 2. Add tomatoes, onion, olive oil, tomato paste, kidney beans, honey, and balsamic viinegar. 3. Cook in a slow cooker on high for 3 hours. 4. Add spices and salt and pepper to taste. I like cinnamon, smoked paprika, and cocoa. |
