Serve with foodie friend pleclare's Boston Baked Beans (I am a fan) and corn and potato fritters. Since we are trying to spend a bit more time being choosy at the store, (thanks to lana)I have made it a mission to grab less expensive cuts of meat from the store and try to make something really tasty and appealing from them. Read more . These were four pork chops, bone-in, and were about $2.75 altogether. They were slightly thin, and a little bit fatty, but my idea was to make them as tasty as I could and cook the minimum amount of time on the barbie. HOT CHOP! Adapted from MIA Ingredients:
3-4 thin cut pork chops |
1 cup brown sugar |
2 tbsp chili powder |
3-5 tbsp thai chili sauce |
drizzle of olive oil |
Directions:
1. Mix together the brown sugar and chili powder in a bowl then liberally rub all over the chops. 2. After that, rub on the chili sauce and olive oil to coat them well. 3. Grill the chops over medium-high direct heat for about 2-3 minutes per side (depending on the thickness). 4. And watch out ... they are spicy! :) |
