Chicken Wings in Sauce a La Chine |

A delightful dim sum recipe from the Diana Liu cookbook. Ingredients:
8 chicken wings |
1/2 cup water |
3/4 cup soy sauce |
2 tablespoons sugar |
2 star anise |
2 tablespoons sherry wine |
Directions:
1. Mix water, soy sauce, sugar, star anise and sherry in a pot; bring to boil. 2. Add chicken wings; bring to boil again. 3. Cover and simmer 15 minutes. 4. Remove wings from sauce. 5. Serve cold. 6. Note: I cut the wings in 3 segments and arrange on a platter garnished with chopped green onions or cilantro. |
