Slow cook chicken vegetable stew/soup Ingredients:
6 chicken drumsticks |
4 carrots (small), chopped |
3 stalks celery, sliced |
4 garlic cloves, minced |
1 cup parsley (fresh), chopped |
1 1/2 cups beans, white kidney (cannellini) |
6 oz mushrooms (portobello), chopped |
6 cups chicken broth |
Directions:
1. chop into bite size pieces all vegetables 2. add minced garlic 3. (Optional) dredge drumsticks in seasonsed flour 4. place drumsticks on stop of vegetables 5. pour broth over all 6. cook in slow cooker 6-8 hours 7. chill for easier handling 8. remove meat from bones and mix well into stew 9. divide into individual portions & freeze |
