Warm up during the cold season with the comfort of hot tortellini soup fresh out of the slow cooker. Its uniquely sweet, creamy, tomatoey flavor makes it a pleasant change from the ordinary. Ingredients:
2 c. cubed chicken |
1 c. chopped onion |
1 c. sliced carrots |
3 (10 oz.) cans chicken broth |
10 1/2 oz. condensed cream of chicken soup |
3 c. water |
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes |
2 medium zucchini, diced (optional) |
2 garlic cloves, minced |
1/2 tsp. basil leaves |
1/2 tsp. oregano |
8 oz. pkg. frozen peas |
7 oz. pkg. tortellini (cheese) |
salt to taste |
Directions:
1. Place in the crock in order: 2. chicken, onion, carrots, broth, soup, water, tomatoes, zucchini, garlic, basil, and 3. oregano. 4. Cook in slow cooker on Low for 8-10, or on High for 5-6 hours. 5. ______________ 6. Add tortellini and peas 20 minutes prior to eating. 7. Serve with cheese and garlic toast! |
