This recipe comes from Melting Pot Potluck. It was put together to announce the arrival of a new pastor and his wife. Origin: Japan. Ingredients:
1 (2 1/2-3 lb) whole chickens, cut up |
fresh ginger, grated (to taste) |
1/2 cup soy sauce |
2 tablespoons sugar |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Cut chicken into small pieces and place in pan. Grate fresh ginger over chicken. Mix soy sauce, sugar, salt, and pepper. Pour mixture over chicken and marinate for 3-4 hours or overnight. Heat oven to 350*. Place chicken in broiler, cooking, turning, and basting several times for 1 hour. |
