Chicken Stixs With Bourbon Sauce

I made this for a party this weekend. They turned out great. Spicy sweet with a hint of pepper and bourbon.
Ingredients:
4 slices of hickory or brown sugar bacon
2 boneless chicken breast, each cut into 6 strips
dark brown sugar
olive oil
bayou spice rub
bourbon sauce
12 wooden skewers
wax paper
bayou spice rub:(mix all together)
1/2cup dark brown sugar
1 tablespoon white pepper
2 tablespoons chili powder
1 teaspoon creole seasoning
1 teaspoon garlic powder
dash cracked black pepper
bourbon sauce ingredients
4 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup dark brown sugar
1/4 cup bourbon
Directions:
1. Rub chicken strips with spice rub.
2. Saute strips in a small amount of olive oil, browning on each side.
3. Remove from heat and let cool.
4. Cut bacon into thirds and place on a plate lined with wax paper.
5. Sprinkle bacon with a little brown sugar.
6. Cook in microwave for 3 to 4 minutes.
7. Remove and let cool a few minutes.
8. Wrap each strip of chicken with 1 piece of bacon and thread onto wooden skewer.
9. Repeat with remaining chicken and bacon.
10. Place on baking sheet lined with wax paper or foil.
11. Place in preheated 350 degree oven and bake for 10 to 12 minutes.
12. Remove and place in serving dish or an plate.
13. Make bourbon sauce by melting butter in saucepan.
14. Add brown sugar and cook until sugar melts(about 2 to 3 minutes)
15. Stir in bourbon and reduce heat to low.
16. Cook for 2 to 3 minutes.
17. Pour sauce over chicken strips
