A great stew for a cold night...or a hot one, if you are like me!! Ingredients:
2 cans chicken, drained |
4 or 5 medium potatoes, diced |
1 large onion, chopped |
butter |
1 can milk |
1/2 gallon milk |
2 tbsp oregano |
salt and pepper |
Directions:
1. Place diced potatoes and chopped onion in stew pot 2. Add water, just to cover potatoes 3. Add oregano and butter 4. Bring to a boil 5. Add chicken right as potatoes are coming to a rolling boil 6. When potatoes are almost done, add can milk and regular milk 7. **may take more or less regular milk depending on pot size** 8. Allow to simmer to get milk hot, but don't allow to boil once milk has been added 9. Salt and pepper to taste 10. ***serve with crackers and mini sweet gerkin pickles*** |
