This is an old recipe that my Mother In Law made regularly when my husband was growing up. It isn't gourmet and it isn't fancy.....what it is is tasty, creamy comfort food that is filling, cheap and like an edible big hug. Ingredients:
1 whole chicken, cut into parts |
10 3/4 ounces cream of mushroom soup |
10 3/4 ounces cream of celery soup |
10 3/4 ounces cream of chicken soup |
12 ounces elbow macaroni |
Directions:
1. Cover chicken parts with water and boil until chicken is tender. Remove chicken from the broth and set aside until cool. Once cool, remove fat and remove chicken from bones and cut into bite sized pieces. 2. Add enough water to the chicken broth to cook the macaroni. Bring broth to a boil and add macaroni. Cook until tender and drain. 3. Combine chicken, macaroni and cream soups and and heat until piping hot. 4. Serve immediately. |
