Vegetarian Times May 97. I like it with homemade bread. Ingredients:
1 lb chicken seitan strips |
1/3 cup grated carrot |
1 stalk celery, minced |
1/3 cup minced red onions or 1/3 cup minced green onion |
1/3 cup pecans (optional) |
1/3 cup mayonnaise or 1/3 cup vegan mayonnaise |
salt and pepper |
8 slices bread |
lettuce leaf, to garnish |
tomato, slices to garnish |
Directions:
1. Cut seitan into bite-sized pieces. 2. In large bowl, mix seitan and remaining ingredients. 3. Serve on bread with lettuce and tomatoes. 4. Note for Vegan use the Vegan Mayo. Why? Regular mayo contains eggs. |
