This is a very weird, uncoventional method of making boiled chicken. I am positive that you will like the end results. Great for chicken and dumplings. From Frank and Mary Jelinek Dining Around, a radio show in Philadelphia. Ingredients:
4 lbs whole chickens |
6 (10 ounce) cans condensed chicken broth |
Directions:
1. In an aluminum pot place chicken. 2. Put a large metal spoon in the cavity. 3. Cover chicken with broth. 4. Cover pan. 5. Bring to boil and let boil on low for 30 minutes. 6. Turn off heat. 7. Let sit for 3 hours, heat from spoon will continue to cook chicken from inside out. |
