Another southern recipe, this one from the cookbook 'Louisiana Entertains'. Good for a group gathering. Ingredients:
12 boneless skinless chicken breast halves |
1/4 lb butter or 1/4 lb margarine |
12 slices ham |
1 cup mushroom |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of chicken soup |
1 (10 1/2 ounce) can cream of mushroom soup |
1/2 cup white wine |
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning |
1 teaspoon thyme |
1 teaspoon sage |
1 teaspoon paprika |
1 teaspoon tabasco sauce |
minced parsley |
Directions:
1. Saute chicken breasts lightly in butter or margarine. 2. Place each on a ham slice in a 9 x 12-inch greased baking dish. 3. In same skillet used for browning chicken, saute mushrooms. 4. Add remaining ingredients, mix well and spoon over chicken and ham. 5. Sprinkle with parsley and bake at 275 degrees for 2 1/2 hours. |
