This is a simple version of chicken parmesan. My family loves this so I make it often. Ingredients:
4 bonless skinless chicken breast, 1/4 in. thick |
1 cup seasoned bread crumbs |
1 teaspoon fresh garlic, minced |
1/2 cup parmesan, grated |
2 eggs, beaten with tablespoon of milk |
2/3 cup flour |
1/4 cup butter |
1 jar of pasta sauce of your choice, i use traditional or marinara |
1 cup mozzarella, shredded |
parsley, fresh chopped or dry |
1 lb. pasta of your choice, cooked |
Directions:
1. Mix bread crumbs, garlic and parmesan in bowl, set aside. 2. Put flour in another bowl, set aside. Same with eggs. 3. Dredge chicken in flour and shake off excess, dip in egg and then coat in bread crumbs. 4. Melt butter in skillet and pan fry chicken over medium heat until thoroughly cooked. 5. Meanwhile, preheat oven to 375 degrees. 6. When chicken is cooked place in oiled baking dish. 7. Pour pasta sauce over chicken, then sprinkle with cheese and parsley. 8. Bake for 20 minutes. Serve over hot cooked pasta. |
