Chicken Paprika with Chive Dumplings |

Ingredients:
1 cup(s) buttermilk baking mix |
2 cup(s) chicken broth |
3 1/2 pound(s) chicken pieces |
2 tablespoon(s) chopped chives |
1 whole(s) chopped onion |
2 tablespoon(s) flour |
1 package(s) frozen green peas |
1 package(s) frozen green peas |
1/3 cup(s) milk |
2 tablespoon(s) oil |
2 tablespoon(s) paprika |
1/8 teaspoon(s) pepper |
1/4 teaspoon(s) salt |
1 cup(s) sour cream |
Directions:
1. In small bowl blend flour well into sour cream; set aside. 2. In large heavy skillet heat oil add chicken and brown on all sides. Remove chicken; add onion to drippings and asute until transparent, about 5 minutes. Stir in paprika. Add chicken broth, salt and pepper. Stir in sour cream mixture. Return chicken to skillet; cover and simmer 20 minutes. 3. Meanwhile, in small bowl combine baking mix and milk; stir in chives. Push chicken pieces aside in skillet and drop dumping mixture in 4 large spoonfuls several inches apart into simmering sauce. Simmer 10 minutes; then add peas, cover and cook 10 minutes more. |
