From my collection of handwritten recipes 1960's. Ingredients:
3 tablespoons flour |
1 tablespoon paprika |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 (3 lb) chicken, cut up |
3 tablespoons oil |
1 lb white pearl onion, peeled (about 20) |
1 large green pepper, diced |
1 cup chopped celery |
1/2 cup water |
Directions:
1. Mix flour, paprika, salt and pepper; use to coat chicken pieces. Brown chicken well in hot oil. Add remaining ingredients, cover and simmer 20-25 minutes or until chicken and onions are tender. |
