This stew is thicker than a soup and likely to be eaten along with main course , like string hopper or crusty bread . Stewing makes the meat to become tender and juicy with the slow moist heat method . Ingredients:
1 onion , sliced |
2 tsp ginger garlic paste |
3 green chillies , finely chopped |
1 tsp red chilli powder |
2 tsp corriander pwd |
1 tsp meat curry pwd |
300 gm chicken with bones |
1 potato or carrot , sliced |
or |
vege of ur choice : peas , french beans , carrot , potatoes |
or |
4 big potatoes and / or hard boiled eggs |
3 tbsp low fat evaporated milk ( or thick coconut milk ) |
1 to 2 c water |
2 tbsp double cream ( or thick coconut milk ) |
1/2 tsp cinnamon pwd |
2 cardamom , powdered |
2 cloves |
Directions:
1. Fry the onions , paste , chillies . and the pwds until raw smell disappears . 2. Add the chicken , vegetable , milk and water . 3. Check the salt . 4. Simmer for 20 mins . 5.
