Alright, so there are NO noodles in this recipe. I substituted split yellow peas for the noodles, but give it a chance! You'll up your protein intake and it will fill you up. Also, this is someone that never used to like peas! It's delish. Try it. You won't be disappointed. Easy, tasty and affordable! Ingredients:
3 cups water |
4 ounces cooked chicken |
1/2 cup carrot, chopped |
1 garlic clove, chopped or pressed |
1/4 cup onion |
1/2 cup celery, chopped |
1/2 cup yellow split peas, dried |
1 teaspoon thyme |
1/4 teaspoon oregano |
1 tablespoon chicken bouillon |
Directions:
1. Throw all ingredients in a pot and cook till peas are tender. About 30 minute Very nice with a slice of honey wheat bread. |
