This recipe is from a friend, very tasty. Ingredients:
1 cup egg noodles |
1 tablespoon onion, minced |
2 1/2 tablespoons chicken bouillon granules |
1/4 teaspoon dried whole thyme |
1/8 teaspoon celery seed |
1/8 teaspoon garlic powder |
1 bay leaf |
1 carrot, diced |
3 cups cooked chicken, diced |
8 cups water |
Directions:
1. Combine first eight (8) ingredients. 2. Bring to boil; cover, reduce heat and simmer for 15 minutes. 3. Discard bay leaf. 4. Stir in 3 cups of diced cooked chicken and simmer an additional 5 minutes. 5. Prep time includes cooking chicken, and cutting it up for soup. 6. Do not use water that chicken was cooked in to make soup. It would be too greasy. |
