From Mom's recipe box. Ingredients:
1/4 cup flour |
1 teaspoon salt |
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper |
3 lbs chicken pieces |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1 garlic clove, crushed |
1/2 cup beef broth |
1 (4 ounce) can sliced mushrooms, undrained |
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce |
1 (8 ounce) can crushed tomatoes |
Directions:
1. Combine flour, salt and pepper. Dredge chicken in flour mixture. 2. Place oil in skillet over medium heat. Brown chicken. 3. Add garlic, beef broth, mushrooms, tomato sauce and crushed tomatoes. 4. Bring to a simmer, cover and cook 30-40 minutes until chicken is tender. |
