An easy snack, great on Melba toast, all my friends and family want me to make it every week. Ingredients:
1 large onion, chopped |
1 clove garlic, crushed |
knob of butter |
15ml oil |
250g chicken livers (i use 500g and make extra) |
black pepper |
salt |
slice white bread |
splash brandy |
45ml cream (not necessary) |
lemon slices for garnish |
Directions:
1. Sauté onion and garlic in butter and oil for 2mins on full power. 2. Add livers, pierce membranes, cover, cook full power 5mins, stir and cook for another 5mins. 3. Blend in food processor add bread, brandy, salt, pepper, parsley (dried or fresh) can also add a hard boiled egg for bulk. Blend till smooth. Pour into ramekins, pour a little melted butter over the top and garnish, put in fridge to set. |
