This is one of the Zaar recipes that I adopted. I hope to make this soon as it looks like a dish my family would enjoy. I’ll edit the recipe accordingly if needed. Ingredients:
1 chicken, cut into pieces |
4 tablespoons oil |
3 tablespoons tomato sauce |
4 red italian tomatoes |
3 green chilies, seed and cut lengthwise |
1 teaspoon salt |
1 teaspoon sugar |
1 tablespoon lime juice |
1/2 can coconut juice |
1 onion |
6 almonds |
3 red chilies |
1/2 teaspoon pepper |
Directions:
1. Blend spices until fine. Heat oil and fry chicken until brown. 2. Remove chicken and fry spices for 2 minutes. 3. Add tomato sauce, tomatoes, chilies, salt, sugar and lime juice and stir for 3 minutes. 4. Add chicken, coconut juice and simmer for 20 minutes or until liquid is reduced to a thick gravy. |
