This is an original resipe from hawaii,my girl friend sent because her family loves it.as with most hawaiian recipes this uncomplicated and fast to make Ingredients:
1.5 # fresh chicken breast cleaned and cut 1in. squares |
1/3 c.any style ketchup |
1/3 c. your favorite soy ( i like ponzu) |
1/2 c, brown sugar |
1/4 c.sherry 1 finger fresh ginger grated through micro plain or box grater |
4 bulb fresh garlic,skinned and minced |
1/2 c. my seasoned flour mix |
Directions:
1. In a small to medium bowl add all ingediants except chicken and flour mix 2. blend until sugar is completly disolved 3. add chicken and let marinade for about 10 minutes 4. pour chicken through medium seive and drain well reserving all juices 5. toss flour and chicken in a ziplock bag and shake well 6. in a wok or 10 sautee pan, heat and add chicken spreading out evenly ,.sautee 2-3 min. 7. turn and sautee another 2-3 min. and add all juices from marinade lower heat and cntinue cooking till nice and thick or about 5 min. 8. hawaiins like over rice (I like over odon noodles) 9. serve immediatly or refridgerate and use latter for appetizer.holds very well in refridgerator |
