4 tablespoons butter |
1 onion, finely chopped |
1 quart chicken stock |
2 cups canned tomatoes |
1/2 green pepper |
2 teaspoons salt |
1 cup okra |
1/4 teaspoon pepper |
1 lb chicken breast |
Directions:
1. Melt butter in large kettle. 2. Add onion. 3. Cook and stir 5 minutes. 4. add stock and remaining ingredients. 5. Bring to boiling point and simmer 40 minutes. 6. Before serving cut chicken into bite-sized pieces and return to soup. |
