Only takes minutes to put together.Using cooked pasta, we like shells or bow ties. Ingredients:
4 boneless chicken breasts |
1/2 cup parmesan cheese |
1/2 cup breadcrumbs |
1 teaspoon basil |
1 tablespoon olive oil |
1 (14 ounce) can italian-style tomato sauce |
1/2 cup water |
1 cup grated mozzarella cheese |
Directions:
1. Cut chicken into strips. 2. In a plastic bag combine parmesan cheese, bread crumbs and basil. 3. Add chicken pieces and coat well. 4. In large frying pan and olive oil brown chicken pieces for 5 minutes. 5. Add can of Italian tomato sauce and water. 6. Simmer 10 minutes. 7. Sprinkle mozzarella over top. 8. Cover frying pan with a lid for 1 minute until the cheese has melted. No need to stir. 9. In a serving dish have cooked pasta ready and pour chicken mixture over top. |
