A savory chicken and mushroom casserole type entree. If you use the type of dried beef that comes in a jar, soak it in water for 15 minutes and then drain. Ingredients:
4 ounces dried beef (see notes) |
10 each chicken breasts, cut lengthwise into halves |
10 slices bacon |
1 cup sour cream |
1 cup mushroom soup |
1/2 cup sliced mushroom |
Directions:
1. Soak the dried beef if required. 2. Arrange beef slices in the bottom of a 13 x 9 baking dish. 3. Wrap each chicken breast half in a slice of bacon. 4. Place on dried beef. 5. Combine sour cream, mushroom soup and sliced mushrooms, pour over chicken. 6. Cover and bake at 350 for 1-1/2 to 2 hours. Uncover for the last 1/2 hour. |
