corn chowder is my favorite soup.! always add different ingredients to make it more flavorful . Ingredients:
2 14 oz. cans cream corn |
1/2 -1 lb. boneless,skinless chicken breasts, cut up |
1 can 14 oz. green beans,drained |
1 12 oz.can whole corn, drained |
1 onion chopped |
some garlic finely chopped |
chicken stock |
chopped up italian parsley-1/4 cup |
about 1/2 tsp. thyme |
1/ tsp. summer savoury |
salt and pepper |
butter or margarine |
3 potatoes chopped |
Directions:
1. in a heated pot melt marganine or butter,1- 2 tbs. 2. season chicken with salt and pepper 3. cook until slightly brown 4. add parsley ,onion ,garlic, savoury and thyme ,salt and freshly ground pepper to your taste 5. add potatoes stir well to coat everything 6. put in enough stock to cover potatoes,3 or more cups. 7. boil then turn heat down and simmer slowly until potatoes are soft. 8. add all corn and green beans ,more chicken broth if you want. 9. heat. |
