Ingredients:
2 pound(s) chicken breasts 4 breasts |
4 slice(s) ham purchuto italian |
4 slice(s) swiss cheese lorraine |
1 egg |
1/2 cup(s) bread crumbs |
1/2 cup(s) corn flakes crushed |
1/2 cup(s) flour |
3/4 cup(s) mushrooms |
1 cup(s) half and half |
3 tablespoon(s) white wine dry |
1/2 teaspoon(s) beau monde |
1/2 teaspoon(s) dill weed |
2 tablespoon(s) butter |
2 tablespoon(s) flour |
1/2 teaspoon(s) seasoning salt |
Directions:
1. Bake at 400 degrees 15 - 20 minutes 2. Pound each chicken breast flat, brush with melted butter 3. Place ham and cheese slice in center of breast and fold over, pinch edges 4. Coat each breast with flour, dip into egg, then bread crumbs 5. Fry on medium heat in skillet until golden brown on each side (~1min) 6. Cook in oven at 400 degrees for 15-20 min (can freeze cooked breasts) 7. Mushroom Sauce: 8. Stir 2 Tbs butter & 2 Tbs flour over medium heat in skillet 9. Add half & half, white wine, seasoning salt, Beau Monde and Dill Weed 10. Heat on stove until thick 11. Serve over chicken cordon bleu |
